The Snom M3 Repeater is a DECT Repeater, designed for use with the Snom M3 IP DECT telephone systems. The Repeater can be deployed where there is a need to extend the Snom M3 Basestation standard operational range, or where the need arises to increase limited coverage or improve reception in remote areas or environments where DECT signalling is impeeded.
The snom DECT repeater is designed to be fully compatible with the DECT standard. It is intended for a use in residential, business and public DECT applications based on the GAP profile. The Repeater has two internal antennas, and can be used to double the effective range of a snom M3 IP DECT Basestation. The device also ensures seamless intercell handover from an M3 basestation area to the repeater area and vice versa.
It is possible to register up to six DECT Repeaters to a single snom M3 Basestation. Furthermore the snom DECT repeater uses a new, automatic registration method - the Repeater automatically seeks and acquires the DECT/GAP base station that emits the most powerful signal. For the enduser this means that the repeater installation has been simplified to Plug-and-Play deployment.
